One thing I noticed is the picture on the front page (this kissing one) takes a long time to load. This is because you used the full-sized version instead of scaling it down to the size you are displaying it at. It's a 4 megabyte photo.
You should try to scale it down to 240px × 161px. It is currently at 3872px × 2592px.
Some of your other photos are actually too small. The browser scales them up to fit the space, but then they get all pixelated.
Let me know if you need help figuring out how to fix those things. Ideally you should scale the picture to the exact size it will be displayed at before you upload it to your site. This will make things look better and load faster.
I knew I had seen this template used somewhere else before and then I remembered. It was here:

I think you're OK though. I believe that's the only place I have seen it before and most people in these parts aren't going to recognize it.

Looks nice to me. Neat and to the point. Many websites I have seen are too too busy.
